At 15 years old, she became the youngest player on the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, playing with them to win the Women’s World Cup in 1991 and 1999.
Hamm’s success popularized women’s soccer in the U.S., encouraging many young girls to take up the sport.

helloopy seen from Europe, the US team is very talented but they are confusing competitive spirit with total lack of respect for their opponents. Everyone can appreciate their talent but certainly not their behaviours. Yes, they will win as they are the best team for sure, but its disappointing that they have to be so arrogant especially because they are so good so don't need to compensate by being arrogant, not a likeable team...not a good image for the sport.
