Please share a story or something about Dave with us and his followers! . Dave is the strength and calm behind the center, named after his late mother, Judith A Bassett. Dave brings the determination behind Judi’s success at saving so many dogs destined to be euthanized to the animals we rescue and work with. Being literally almost born in a whelping box, Dave grew up In his mom’s kennel surrounded by dogs and more dogs! When Judi was in active labor with David, she also happened to be whelping a litter of puppies & would not leave until the puppies were born and safe. Luckily she made it to the hospital to have David, but sometimes We wonder if he really wasn’t born in that whelping box and raised by mama dog!! . David has a intrinsic awareness of animal behavior, something that cannot be learned, but is part of his being. His patience and calm puts animals at ease while at the same time letting them know he will be their strength, their security, and their confidence if they need it. . While he is a man of few words and no fluff, his intelligence, desire to innovate, and unyielding commitment to animal welfare has allowed the center to grow and allowed Dave and Amy, the other co-founder, to take the center down paths unexplored! He is the foundation for the center. A foundation made of the hardness of a diamond, the strength of steel (or nanotubes as he would prefer), the fluidity of water, and the courage of a lion! .
