It reminded me of our humanity, that not one singular person has it all together, how life in its moments happens beyond our semblance of control, and that our already finite lens seldom sees the full picture of a person or situation. Everyone holds a story and in the telling of them we are reminded of how we’re not so different after all. What treasures our stories hold. There is someone out there who needs to hear your stories, and others whose stories reach spaces within our own caverns that bring a hearth also needed. Nothing is wasted, everything is fodder for something worthwhile. I am learning this too, again, as I walk through years of wintery ash into a new wondrous spring.
