I actually think Ada looks more like Tommy and Alf more like me, but that seems to be an unpopular opinion? What do you think? I had such a rubbish day yesterday - lots of bad news all at once compounded with Ada teething and being unsettled. You know when you feel anxious and are panicking and then you also have a crying baby on you - it is so hard to regulate. I had to ask Tommy to take her. Life really does have a way at throwing massive curve balls at you just as you feel happy and content. I guess that's the rollercoaster of life and why we have to appreciate it so much when it's good. I'm also getting better at not letting the bad stuff take over - what's the quote - when life brings a storm you have to learn to surf the tide. Or something like that. I tell myself on repeat that if I'm not worrying about it in ten years time I shouldn't worry about it now. Worrying will not help or change anything. Ride the waves. 🌊 And also just accept some days are tough. Big emotions are ok. You have to experience all the other emotions to be able to appreciate joy. We've been watching this amazing documentary series on Disney+ with Chris Hemsworth - watch the episode about the care home and growing old. It really does put things into perspective so beautifully. I've been thinking about it a lot. But little moments like this with my family are the perfect pockets of joy. Alf waking up at 8am, seeing the kids faces when Tommy gets back from work, and that blissful moment when both babies are asleep at the end of a long and busy day. I'm actually having my first bath tonight. I would say it's self care but it's more because of the dodgy fake tan I have on. 🤪✨ Anyway I appreciate all the messages. I'm ok, we ok. It was just a lot of stuff all in a day. And sometimes I think it's important not just to share the highs because that's not life. And I think it's sometimes important to see that not everything is as it seems and we never quite know what people are going through behind closed doors. 💙🙏」8月2日 4時18分
