4 Key Benefits Of Pilates🧘🏽‍♀️✨🎧

1. Improve alignment and posture.
A lot of people don’t realise how bad there body alignment is. Wether it’s from previous injuries or day to day sitting at a desk. It’s so important to keep your alignment and posture in the correct place. Which a core pilates style is all about lengthening the spine throughout every movement.

2. Improves Strength and flexibility.
Pilates really does hit so many aspects of training and these ones are key. The strength element especially. It’s a lot of isolated movements that when for eg. You doing a compound lift like a squat, you don’t realise how much you need to fire up every single muscle. Flexibility is a great part of reformer in terms of opening up and releases off the muscles the just come from daily activities!

3. Breath work.
This has been a huge one for me as I didn’t realise how much I struggles to breath correctly (I know sounds crazy😅) but really focus on when is the correct time to inhale and exhale during an exercise has really changed how I breathe during my other workouts like weight training and HIIT.

4. Mindfulness.
I think this flows nicely on from breath work as whenever I’m doing pilates it’s amazing to centre the mind and my body together and really realise how powerful and amazing the body is for all the movements it can do! And if you have a busy schedule finding that time in the day to slow down and do some low impact exercise is great!


So if you’ve not ever tried pilates before, maybe book yourself onto a class and see how you find it. It’s definitely an investment piece and not a quick fix by any means. It’s a process to improving all these key things I’ve mentioned🫶🏽
