This is a carroça (or wagon), used to collect garbage on the streets of cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Mundano, a Brazilian street artist and @TEDFellow, created “Pimp My Carroça,” a community-driven movement to raise awareness about the invisible work of garbage collectors by painting their carroças. The one above says, “My car does not pollute.” Mundano’s colorful murals and painted carroças address themes of social inequality in Latin America. You can follow him here: @mundano_sp
