A: We look at the key social media success indicators: number of hearts, followers gained and level of engagement (hearts and comments) in relation to the number of followers. One of our biggest indicators on influence is the number of people that tag us in their posts – we pay special attention to who is tagging us to see all potential impressions. Also important, we look at the message people are spreading when tagging us, whether they are students or famous bloggers, what they say and how they say it tells us a lot about what we are doing right and where we should be looking at. We are growing and so is our strategy… ________________________________________Q: Work aside, what are your 3 accounts you recommend following? A: I love extreme sports so @GoPro is a must! I’m also a big photo geek who enjoys @thephotosociety and… I’m a city girl who likes pretty so @thecoveteur. ________________________________________Q: What strategies do you use to attract new Instagram followers and keep them engaged? A: We keep our followers engaged by sharing high quality images and captions they can easily digest or relate to. We know our supporters come from all over the world so we will sometimes play with it and add conversation starters. To give us a boost we send out a tweet or a Facebook post once in a while. And we’ve also run two photo contests in Facebook, asking people to submit their best shot for a chance to be published in our Instagram feed.
