I really love finding and photographing owls. They can be so elusive and when you find one, or stumble upon one for that matter, it's extremely rewarding. The other day I got to watch this great grey owl for over 2 hours as he hunted and caught three voles. At one point, he flew to this branch about 15 feet away and I was able to frame him in a willow bush that was separating us. The great grey owls are not the largest owl in the world, but they are the tallest reaching heights of about 2 feet.
