peaking under the window shades this morning, the sky was a glowing pinky orange - muted and foggy and not one I've seen in a while - and then my mind came to rest on the reason for this evanescent sky - snow. The softest dusting - like confectioners sugar - was gracing the tops of pale golden maple leaves and highlighting the rooflines - it won't last long but I've been happily working away this morning cup of earl grey in hand, a few candles lit, stopping every now and then to admire the sugary world outside - I know you won't all agree but as a child of winter I could not be happier for its timely arrival
