We just wrapped our first digital retreat, which was called, “Exploring Your Feminine Energy.”

During our three days together, we explored the difference between the masculine and feminine energies within each of us. We discussed how constantly living and striving in our masculine left us feeling disconnected from our feminine power and burnt out.
We learned how natural and easy it is to restore the natural flow of our energy.

On Saturday, we spent the day completely immersed in the feminine. We did what we wanted. We disconnected from social media. We painted, climbed trees, indulged in slow mornings, and recharged at the beach under a full moon.

The masculine is goal oriented while the feminine is experience oriented. We allowed ourselves the freedom to do things for the joy of it. We challenged the narrative that we “should” be doing something else—that we should be something else.

We ended the retreat learning about cycle syncing from @alisa.vitti and by identifying the phase of life we’re currently in. Then we reflected on how we could honor that.

I went right to my guitar after we wrapped. I’m learning Riptide by Vance Joy. It’s only 3 chords, and still my fingers are swollen and bruised. I’m loving the presence it requires to begin something new.

My dad handed me this bottle and the label spoke to the feminine energy that we dove into this weekend.

We are nature. Our feminine cycles are nature.

When we try to resist and go against our natural cycles, we cut ourselves off from our natural power. To reconnect is simply to listen to and honor our needs.
Easier said than done. I’m still in process here but the voice gets louder every day as I continue to follow it.

I’m still processing the gift of being able to hold space in this way.
I am still in awe of every woman who chooses to come home to herself instead of living a small and caged life to make those around her more comfortable.
