In peak summer months, when the system sees about 30k rides per day, Instagram helps to put faces to those trips, showing where people are riding and what they’re doing along the way. Instagram has also been a great platform for giving our riders a look behind the scenes of Citi Bike’s 24/7 operation. ________________________________________Q: What strategies do you use to attract new Instagram followers and keep them engaged? A: We have a pretty good mix of our own pictures and of posts we’ve shared from riders. We want to give our fans a chance to showcase their experience with our bikes and how they’ve incorporated Citi Bike into their daily routine, or even into a short vacation trip to NYC. This has led to a slow but steady increase in followers.
