Day 9 #LetsGETFlexyIn2015 is Kurmasana, Tortoise Pose. The pinnacle of the Primary Series, this pose requires a high level of flexibility and strength. Wherever you are in your journey there is a version of the pose for you so don’t get discouraged. To get into the pose start off with the knees slightly bent and aim the thighs as close to the shoulders as possible. Straighten the legs while squeezing the thighs and engaging the quads. Release the back muscles but keep the lower belly drawn in for the shoulder girdle and avoid collapsing the collarbone. Check my YouTube channel for full tutorials.
