Beach or mountains? Or both?

Do you feel my joy? I do, just looking at this picture. One of the things that makes me the most happy and joyful is the beach. There is just something magical for me about feeling the sand between my toes and the salty air on skin.

I should say that I make the assumption that the beach will be warm. I’ve only ever been to one truly cold beach in my life and I remember being so confused that the sand was cold. And now, guess where I’m going? Iceland! I expect there to be some beautiful and freezing beaches. Honestly, I’m equal parts excited and terrified. If you know me, you know I basically live in flip flops. Shoes also confuse me. I did, however, after much prompting from my husband, buy a pair of vegan waterproof snow boots. Tim has been trying to convince me to go glacier hiking, but I’m not sure this tropical girl will be able to survive. All I really want is to see the northern lights. That and jump into the blue lagoon. Don’t count on me doing any yoga poses in the cold—I am not @iceman_hof and I can’t even stand cold showers in the middle of summer ❄️ _
Iceland here we come ✈️
