Since Vata is naturally cool and dry, foods that emphasize heat and moisture are recommended. Eating too much in one sitting can be difficult for Vata, so eating regularly is advised instead. Fruits are not recommended in abundance for Vata and most vegetables are advised to be well-cooked to optimize digestion. Sweet, sour and salty food works well with Vata. The manner of eating may be just as important to Vata as the substance. Eating a peaceful environment with full presence directed at nourishing the body can be healing. _ Day 8 is Vrksasana. The Tree Pose is an easily accessible balancing pose that encourages grounding and stability in the legs and peace and tranquillity in the mind and heart. This asana can be easily modified for all levels and it is one of the most beneficial poses for regaining physical balance. _ Alignment keys to think about while practicing—. *It can be harder than expected to balance on one leg so use a chair or a wall when you’re first starting to make the pose accessible *Find stability through the sole of your foot by rooting down through the base of your big toe, little and heel.
